The California Assoc. of Realtors has issued an RFP for “structuring thought leadership initiatives” as the real estate market in the Golden State rebounds from the depths of the Great Recession.

CAR, which celebrated its centennial in 2005, works in conjunction with 120 local associations of realtors in California and the National Assoc. of Realtors to represent the interests of 160K members statewide.

According to the RFP, the group views the thought leadership work as a “strategic opportunity” to build its reputation among legislators, media, related industries and the public.

It is looking for a firm that “knows how to prepare the infrastructure for the effort, deliver new partners and execute on multiple levels.”

The proposal deadline is March 20. Jeannette Brown, communications specialist of the Los Angeles-based CAR, has info at jeannetteb [at] car [dot] org.
