million-plus PR account in a competitive pitch, Wendell Potter,
a Cigna spokesperson, told this website.
Finalists were Hill and Knowlton, Edelman PR Worldwide, Manning,
Selvage & Lee, Ruder Finn and Makovsky & Co.
Cigna wants a higher profile in the insurance market.
WSW is to showcase the Philadephia-based company's strengths
in the healthcare arena.
WSW reports to Mike Fernandez, the former U.S. West and Eastman
Kodak PR executive, who joined Cigna more than a year ago.
He had worked with Shandwick while at U.S. West.
