Michael Feldman and Carter Eskew, staffers to Vice President
Al Gore during his presidential campaign, and Joe Lockhart,
press secretary to former President Bill Clinton, have formed
The Glover Park Group to handle communications consulting,
corporate advocacy and crisis management.
Eskew, 46, met Lockhart while the former Gore strategist
was a partner at BSMG Worldwide's PA practice in 1995. Eskew
handled communications strategy for Gore during the VP's presidential
campaign last year.
Lockhart, 41, recently stepped down as a communications consultant
to Oracle CEO Larry Ellison. He was press secretary during
Clinton's impeachment crisis and will handle crisis communications
for TGPG.
Feldman, 32, was Gore's traveling chief of staff during the
campaign and was also a senior advisor to the Vice President.
The partners planned to open the firm in the fall but moved
up those plans after power in the Senate shifted to the Democrats.
"We had to rethink our summer vacations," Lockhart
told the National Journal.
