The
Government of Jordan is using Edelman PR Worldwide for trade
PR and economic development. Congressional approval of a free
trade pact with the U.S. is a top priority for the Arab state.
King
Abdullah met with President Bush last month to discuss trade
and the peace process in the Middle East. Bush told the King
that he would clear all obstacles blocking the enactment of
the trade pact.
He
also expressed appreciation for Jordan's work as a peace broker.
Vice
President Dick Cheney, Secretary of State Colin Powell, National
Security Adviser Condeleeza Rice and U.S. Trade Representative
Robert Zoellick also were at the meeting.
King
Abdullah also met with Congressional leaders, addressed the
National Press Club and gave interviews with Jim Lehrer of
PBS and Robin Wright of the Los Angeles Times.
