Bill Huey, Strategic Communications, Atlanta (12/09):
It seems Vick is doing pretty well on his own. He leads the Pro Bowl voting by a considerable margin over such clean-cut types as Peyton Manning, as NFL fans display their fondness for winning.
Veep (12/09):
I'll give credit for the guy seeming genuinely contrite, but it hasn't been long enough to judge his behavior. If he was anybody other than an NFL quarterback, he's still in jail and his career is done.
Kevin Foley (12/09):
Vick has more or less followed the PR advice I suggested here many months ago. He has paid for his crime and he is continuing to make good on his moral obligations. On the field, he is once again proving his critics wrong. Vick is making the most of his second chance as a player and as a human being.
Mike Paul, the Reputation Doctor, MGP & Associates PR (12/09):
Vick is doing well because he is finally taking care of his career skills and life skills on and off the field. His consistency with both are starting to bear fruit, but he must do so for years to reap the full benefit of forgiveness from all, especially dog lovers. I find it odd the way he picked his current PR firm. No true crisis experience with issues at the national level and not a lot of experience in sports. Let's see what they actually do for him. We are all watching closely.
Thinkman2 (12/09):
Just wondering how it would be if Vick could not run, pass etc. Just asking how many other repentent young men could be given this kind of chance and image stuff. |
