Porter Novelli has picked up agency of record duties for grape product producer Welch’s, following a competitive review.
Chief marketing officer Matthew Wohl cited PN’s understanding of its consumers, as well as consumer influencers and advocates. He said the company sees a “compelling story” to tell with consumers becoming more health conscious.
PN beat two other finalists after a field of 10 agencies was pared down this summer.
Tonic Life Communications was the incumbent.
PN staffers in Boston, New York and Washington, D.C., will handle the account. The Omnicom firm will work with Welch’s advertising AOR, The Via Group of Portland, Me.
