His father, Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino, was a Philippines Senator who returned from exile in the U.S to oppose the martial law of President Ferdinand Marcos. He died in plane crash while attempting to land at Manila. His political mission was taken up by his wife, Corazon “Cory” Aquino, who became the country’s housewife president.
KGA is receiving $15K for the image work, according to the Philippines media. The Omnicom unit was hired to cut through the clutter as the world’s heads of state meet at the United Nations.
Aquino was interview by the New York Times and Wall Street Journal and members of the Presidential delegate chatted with Bloomberg and Reuters.
