The University of Minnesota’s $22M Center for Transportation Studies wants pitches for its media relations and communications account in an RFP process through May 12 after hiring a consultant in 2010 to assess its communications operation.
The 24-year old research center is backed by federal, state, local and private sponsors.
A consultant hired last year used surveys and focus groups to produce an assessment and communications plan of and to support the CTS’ mission. A key area marked for improvement is fostering a “unified brand identity” for the center and its various units.
An overhaul of its digital communications was also marked for improvement.
The account in review will support that effort advising on content for print and email publications, as well as development of a media relations plan regionally, nationally and internationally for the center.
