Qorvis today announced the hiring of Sam Dealey, Greg Lagana and John Reid to bolster the public affairs, corporate and crisis capabilities of the D.C.-based independent firm.

Dealey served as editor of the Washington Times and contributing editor to U.S. News and World Report and Reader’s Digest. He also reported for Time, CNN, PBS and the New York Times.
Lagana is a former senior VP-communications and marketing for DynCorp., a big federal services contractor. He spent four years in the Bush II White House as member of the coalition information center staff and associate director of the office of global communications.
Reid was communications director to Virginia’s former Senator George Allen, who wants his old seat back. Most recently, he was a staffer at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
The three recruits are new partners at Qorvis, along with Clarus Research chief Ron Faucheux.
