Sarah Pang, senior VP of corporate communications for Chicago insurance giant CNA Financial Corp., was named to Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel’s six-person transition team in Chicago.
Emanuel, a former Congressman who stepped down as President Obama’s former chief of staff to run in the Chicago race, won a 54% victory on Tuesday. He takes office in May.
Pang is a former aide to outgoing Mayor Richard Daley and one of six officials on the transition team. She was a deputy chief of staff Daley for nine years and earlier served as executive assistant to Sen. Alan Dixon (D-Ill.).
