Ed Patru, communications director for Linda McMahon's high-profile Senate bid in Connecticut last year, has landed at DCI Group as a VP.
He joins with Obama White House Midwest political director Campbell Spencer, also named VP for the Washington, D.C.-based public affairs firm.
Patru has been a partner at D.C. comms. consulting shop Amplifico since April 2009 with Marc Ross, who last year took the director of comms. slot at the U.S.-China Business Council. Patru was previously VP of communications for the short-lived lobbying organization Freedom's Watch and worked in comms. roles on the Hill.
Campbell worked for the Obama presidential campaign in Iowa, and also was an operative for John Kerry, the DNC and worked in the Clinton administration's Dept. of Agriculture.
