Caroline Little, who was CEO North America for the U.K.’s Guardian News and Media, is the new president and CEO of the Newspaper Assn. of America, which represents about 2,000 papers.
Prior to joining the British publisher in `08, Miller served as publisher and CEO of Washington Post Newsweek Interactive and spearheaded the integration of digital and print operations. From `00 to `04, she was COO of WPNI leading product development, technology, sales and marketing activities. Little joined Washington Post Co. in `97 as VP/general counsel of WPNI. Earlier, she had legal roles at U.S. News & World Report, The Atlantic Monthly and Fast Company.
Michael Reed, NAA chairman, said in a statement that Little’s “impressive executive track record in digital publishing for major newspaper companies, and her leadership in organizations like the Online Publishers Association and the Internet Advertising Bureau were exactly what the NAA Board was seeking.”
Little looks forward to helping the integration of “newspapers in all forms – including digital, print, and mobile—into the ever-changing media landscape.”
She takes the NAA job on Sept. 6. |
