Singapore-based Ng had handled Starbucks at Edelman but left its Shanghai office to work at Burson-Marsteller in the director of government communications spot.
He is to counsel Starbucks management, oversee client work stream and guarantee quality, according to Edelman's announcement.
Though China is Ng's key focus, he also will be responsible for Starbucks' development in Korea, Japan and India.
Jonathan Adashek is Edelman's global relationship manager for the Seattle-based coffee company.
