Beth McGinn, communications director for the House Judiciary Committee, has moved to the American Road & Transportation Builders Association in D.C. to direct public affairs for the construction trade group.
She takes over for Jeff Solsby, who has left the ARTBA for a senior staff communications slot on the House Oversight & Government Reform Committee.
McGinn handles all media relations and manages the “Transportation Makes America Work” advocacy campaign for the ARTBA, which traces back to 1902 and founder Horatio Earle, an early advocate for a national highway system.
McGinn was press secretary for Rep. Lamar Smith (R-Tex.), who chairs the Judiciary Committee she served.
She was previously a legislative director for Burson-Marsteller’s grassroots unit, Direct Impact after a stint in communications for the National Republican Congressional Committee during the 2002 election cycle.
