Peter Berghammer, most recently senior strategist at Public Communications/Worldwide, died Oct. 1 from heart failure. He was 51.
At Garden Grove, Calif.-based PC/W, Bergmammer handled technology, aerospace and public safety accounts.
Prior to PC/W, Berghammer founded Copernio Holding Co., which grew from an IT solutions provier to handling research, warehousing and logistics matters.
He served as VP/sales and marketing for start-up Avolo and was director of worldwide communications for Fairchild Fasteners, which is now part of Alcoa.
Berghammer is survived by his wife, Susan van Barneveld, presidenet of PC/W, and 20- month-old daughter Abrielle Ghislaine.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributionS should go to an educations fund for Abrielle at 19744 Beach Blvd, Ste. 398, Huntington Beach, Calif. 92648. A memorial service for Berghammer is set for Oct. 17 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s by the Sea Church in Huntington Beach.
