On behalf of the San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau, Komet Marketing Communications invites New York firms specializing in tourism event planning & media relations to submit proposals for the upcoming short-term project:
o San Antonio is planning a culinary-focused media event in New York City during the first week of December 2011. The event will be tied to San Antonio’s extensive exposure in the upcoming “Top Chef Texas” season on Bravo.
o We are seeking a public relations firm with event planning experience to coordinate a media food and wine event centered on San Antonio’s focus as a culinary destination, and are seeking the following:
· Identify, invite, and secure a minimum of 25-35 key editorial media (print and broadcast, as well as select digital influencers.)
· Secure an intimate VIP theatre-type venue with a professional kitchen and serving capabilities for a chef-driven food and wine tasting event.
· San Antonio chef(s) will provide recipes and menus, but we will need on-site or catering to prepare and serve
· Secure any audio or visual elements required for the event. We would like to show videos of the San Antonio Top Chef episodes during the event.
· For the event, San Antonio is seeking editorial media in the areas of:
o Travel
o Cuisine
Second tiered media may include:
· Luxury
· Culture
· Other appropriate niche markets
San Antonio, in south-central Texas, is the leading leisure destination in the State of Texas – offering 300 days of sunshine, extraordinary cuisine and culture. The urban oasis River Walk runs through the heart of downtown – expanding from three to 15 miles by 2013. The epicenter of “Tex-Mex,” San Antonio is also the perfect hub for drives into the Texas Hill Country for wineries and great daytrips. Additional story ideas, pitch points, and other information can be found on our website visitsanantonio.com, and online newsroom, visitsanantonio.com/media.
