The independent firm, which saw revenue jump 17% last year to $10.4M, said it wants to be closer to Silicon Alley clients as well as established consumer companies, a sector it eyes for growth.
Sarfaty was global head of media strategies at MWW, which she exits after three-plus years. She takes a managing director title at Sparkpr.
Sarfaty was VP of corporate communications at AOL and Yahoo! and worked the agency beat for DKC and Rubenstein Associates.
CEO Alan Soucy said he’s “bullish” on East Coast opportunities for the firm, which handles clients like Intelius, Rdio and Barclaycard US.
