Visit Pensacola, the tourism marketing organization for Florida’s Pensacola Bay Area, has moved its PR, research and advertising account out of state after an RFQ review.
Nashville-based BOHAN Advertising picked up advertising and PR duties for the estimated $400K pact, despite a score advantage giving to local firms. Majority Opinion Research of Atlanta will guide marketing research.
E.W. Bullock Associates of Pensacola was the incumbent for advertising and PR.
A subcommittee of VP’s tourism administration and convention committee conducted two review rounds for the work after issuing an RFQ in April for the three components of the work. Nine firms were invited to pitch for a final round after 22 responses were received.
“We are committed to taking tourism in the Pensacola Bay Area to the next level in innovative and creative ways through an integrated research-based marketing and advertising program,” Terry Scruggs, interim vice president of tourism for the Greater Pensacola Chamber, said in a statement.
Bohan created the “Beaches of South Walton” campaign for that region of Florida’s northwest Gulf Coast and handlings tourism work for Pigeon Forge, home of Dollywood.
Contracts are expected to begin Oct. 1.
