Hunter Biden, vice president Joe Biden’s youngest son, has been accepted by the Navy Reserve as a PA officer.
Due to his age of 42, the lawyer and former lobbyist needed a special waiver. The Navy’s direct commission process allows for people with special skills or expertise to become a reservist.
Biden’s brother Beau, who is Delaware’s attorney general, did a one-year stint in Iraq as a member of the Amery National Guard.
Hunter will serve a three-year term during which he may be deployed anywhere around the globe.
He will then do an eight-year stint in the Ready Reserve. |
