Microsoft VP and former Burson-Marsteller chief Mark Penn, along with former presidential aide and B-M vice chair Karen Hughes are among featured speakers for the Institute for PR’s annual lecture and awards dinner, set for Nov. 8, two nights after the presidential election.
Penn and Hughes are joined by Jim Murphy, who led communications and PA for companies including Accenture, Owens-Corning Fiberglas, Beatrice and Merrill Lynch, and Bruce Berger, professor of advertising and PR at the Univ. of Alabama.
Murphy will get IPR’s Alexander Hamilton Medal, its top honor for contributions to PR and research. Berger is being honored for his work in scholarly PR research with IPR’s Pathfinder Award.
The sold-out event is set for the Yale Club in New York.
