Patrick Seybold, a senior Sony communications executive who has handled its PlayStation Network hacking crisis last year, has left to lead global communications and marketing partnerships for mobile advertising and revenue platform Tapjoy.

Based in San Francisco, Seybold takes a VP role with venture-backed Tapjoy, which helps video game developers capture revenue via Facebook and mobile operating systems.
Seybold joined Sony PR in 2001 from Blanc & Otus and departs as senior director of media, brand alliances, activations and social media for Sony Computer Entertainment America.
At Tapjoy, he leads media strategy, social media and marketing partnerships.
Tapjoy, which claims to be profitable, has garnered more than $70M in funding over the past five years, including a $30M infusion in a round led by JPMorgan last year.
