Raine, co-founded by Goldman Sachs alum Joe Ravitch, said Jan. 14 that it is partnering with South Park co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone to form Important Studios to house current and future projects from the two.
"Trey and Matt are unique content creators, having built two iconic global media brands," said Ravitch.
"Having worked with several different studios over the years, we came to realize that our favorite people in the world are ourselves," Parker and Stone said in a statement.
AMG managing director Mary Beth Grover handles The Raine Group.
The New York Times said Raine invested about $60 million in Important Studios in exchange for a stake of just under 20 percent. |
