Texas Tech University has floated an RFP for PR and social media support of its El
Paso medical, nursing, pharmacy and biosciences school.
The Texas Tech University Health Science Center, with a $267M endowment and more than 4,000 students, said it wants a firm to support the communications and marketing office of the El Paso university with outreach to the public, media and other stakeholders about its education, research and patient care offerings.
That includes media relations, PR counsel to senior management, operation of its Facebook and Twitter presence, and content for a monthly newsletter, among other tasks.
The El Paso university is in the process of becoming independent from the TTUHSC, which allows it greater autonomy and puts it on equal footing with three other institutions of the Texas Tech system.
A year-long contract with two option years is expected.
Proposals are due March 1.
