Discover The Palm Beaches, the official tourism marketing corporation that promotes the collection of cities, towns and tourism districts within Palm Beach County, Florida, has issued a request for proposal for a North American PR agency of record.
Discover The Palm Beaches is seeking a PR agency that can implement a North American PR program that both supports the DOT's 2018 marketing plan and also secures earned media impressions supporting the South Florida tourism destination.
Scope of the work would include: collaborating with DTPB’s communications director and internal PR team and; planning and executing PR campaigns; integrating PR activities into DTPB marketing and sales initiatives; developing and maintaining a press kit; preparing press releases and pitching story ideas to traditional and non-traditional media outlets; filtering day-to-day journalist requests; coordinating media visits, satellite media tours and/or televised broadcast opportunities; pitching, scheduling and attending media desk-side missions and media receptions; conducting Palm Beach press conferences; developing speaking points; preparing written statements; identifying and recommending domestic tradeshows for PR representatives to attend; participating in status calls; developing relationships with journalists in key NA markets; identifying and building a shared media list of recommended editorial decision makers and social influencers; coordinating partnerships with organizations and events; identifying and executing at least one turn-key experiential consumer activation; serving as spokesperson on behalf of DTPB; participating in company meetings and quarterly collaboration strategy calls; copywriting for advertorials and community and government memoranda; and delivering detailed reports.
An agency will be selected on a criterion of experience and qualifications, understanding the needs and goals of the client, cost and overall strength of firm, as well as a campaign project exercise. A preference will be given to agencies that have a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County.
