Solimar

Tourism development and marketing firm Solimar International is seeking a PR firm through a request for qualification process for the purpose of promoting cultural heritage tourism in Armenia.

The Washington, D.C.-based sustainable tourism consulting and marketing firm is working with the Smithsonian Institution to implement the “My Armenia Program,” a five-year community-based tourism development partnership between the Smithsonian and the USAID to increase tourism and create job opportunities for Armenians.

Solimar seeks an agency that can help leverage the Smithsonian’s annual Folklife Festival on the National Mall in June and July, which is intended to showcase Armenian cultural heritage, create sales between Armenian and U.S. tour operators and generate interest and media coverage for the Armenian tourism market.

Scope of work would include planning and executing a social media influencer campaign to raise awareness regarding Armenian cultural heritage and tourism as well as the Folklife Festival, generating demand, interest and media coverage for Armenia’s tourism industry among target travel markets, and planning and executing three B2B sales and networking events — in New York, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles — to boost sales between Armenian and U.S. tour operators.

Questions may be submitted via email to [email protected] until March 27.
