Eileen Cassidy Rivera, a corporate, government and agency communicator recently focused on the healthcare IT sector, has landed at Harris Healthcare Solutions as VP of global marketing and communications for the unit of $6B Harris Corp.
Rivera, who is based in Falls Church, Va., for Harris, recently ran her own Alexandria, Va.-based shop since stints at New Editions Consulting and another health IT provider, Cognosante, where she was VP of marketing and comms.
She previously led communications and IR at General Dynamics' healthcare IT unit Vangent and directed PR at EDS Federal, now HP Enterprise Solutions.
In the public sector, she served PA and advisory roles during the Clinton administration at the Peace Corps, Commerce Dept. and Small Business Administration.
She also did a stint at Hill+Knowlton Strategies earlier in her career.
