Philippe Beteille, who headed personal computer company Lenovo's EMEA corporate communications responsibilities for a dozen years, has been named president of Ketchum's Paris office.

Philippe BeteilleAt the Chinese computer company, Beteille was in charge of handling PR for more than 100 countries.

Earlier, he was managing director of Text 100/Paris and partner at I&E Consultants, representing IBM (Big Blue sold its PC line to Lenovo), Boeing, Intel and Avaya.

David Gallagher, Ketchum Europe chief, said Beteille has a firm handle on the needs of the Omnicom’s French clientele and the business savvy to support the firm’s growth on the international front.

Ketchum’s corporate offering in France has handled reorganizations, product recalls and online matters, while its brand expertise shapes up in the food/beverage and tech sectors.
