Brunswick Group is gearing up a push into India with the hire of Pearson India president Khozem Merchant.
Merchant, a former journalist, takes a partner title for the London-based firm, which has an growing base of Indian clients and said other clients are looking for senior-level advice on critical business issues on the subcontinent.
Merchant spent 19 years at the Financial Times, including six years as its Mumbai correspondent. He later moved into FT management and up to the paper's parent, Pearson, handling its Penguin, Pearson and FT units in India.
