He’s based in the New York office of the San Antonio-based operator of the nation’s biggest radio network.
Spengler is to develop media/advertising/partnership opportunities across the 840-unit radio network, national/local programming (iHeartRadio), events, affiliated station websites and mobile apps. He will be CC’s trend-spotter on the new/social media front.
Spengler spent nearly 20 years at IPG, where he headed its MAGNA Global media investment/intelligence arm.
He reports to CEO Clear Channel Media and Entertainment CEO John Hogan, who said Spengler's role is to create and shape the company's "unmatched media and entertainment assets" so they will become "the most valuable to advertisers and marketers looking to reach millions of Americans."
