Alan Marcus, senior VP for Porter Novelli, has moved to Boston-based Shift Communications to head its New York operation.
Marcus, as SVP, takes the reins relinquished by Molly Mandell in August, when she decamped for a SVP role in Edelman's consumer unit.
Prior to three years at PN, he held VP roles at MWW, Ketchum and Bratskeir & Co. He also worked in-house in FAO Schwarz.
Shift's roster includes McDonald's, H&R Block and Canadian Club Whiskey, among dozens of others.
