The 17,000-student University of Central Oklahoma, engaged in a process to update its strategic plan, has cast a net for an agency to handle its brand marketing.

ucoThe university's current communications plan is five years old and was developed by Stamats Communications, an Iowa-based firm that specializes in the higher education market.

UCO is based in Edmond, just outside of Oklahoma City.

An RFP released by UCO is open through January 6, 2014 and calls for development of an integrated communications plan to streamline its messaging. "This could mean anything from paid advertising to public relations to social media," notes the RFP.

The university said it does not have a geographic presence for an agency.
