Jason Armstrong is joining Comcast Corp. early next year as senior VP-investor relations.

The Goldman Sachs analyst replaces Marlene Dooner, who was upped to executive VP-Hispanic enterprises and content at its NBCUniversal unit.

He’ll report to Michael Angelakis, vice chairman and CFO.

The 13-year veteran of the investment banker is managing director and business unit leader of its technology/media and telecommunications research unit.

He also served in Goldman’s North American communications services equity research group, covering cable, satellite, telecom, wireless towers and data center sectors.

Prior to Goldman, Armstrong was working in Chicago as a member of Ernst & Young’s strategy and corporate finance operation.
