Reality TV actress Kim Zolciak-Biermann has engaged New York PR counselor Mike Paul as the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star faces a lawsuit from a fellow cast member.

Cast member Kandi Burress and co-songwriter Rodney Richard sued Zoliciak-Biermann for copyright infringement last week over the three-and-a-half-year-old song "Tardy for the Party," which they penned together.

Zoliciak-Bierman has brought in Paul for reputation management and litigation support regarding the suit, Paul told this website.

The suit alleges Burress wrote the song for Zolciak-Biermann but never got proper credit or payment and demands an accounting of revenue from the track.

Paul called the suit "without merit and suspicious in timing" as it comes ahead of the launch of Zolciak's new show and the taping of a reunion of the "Real Housewives" show. Paul added that Burress and the co-songwriter in the suit have been paid more than $23K in royalties.

BET called the song "an awkward anthem that became a viral hit."

Zolciak-Biermann is also preparing for the April debut of her Bravo spinoff show, "Don't be Tardy."
