Glover Park Group has signed an agreement through April to represent the Republic of Somaliland, which declared independence from Somalia in 1991.

SomalilandThe move follows the decision of U.S. to restore diplomatic relations with Somalia, ties that were severed in 1991. The U.S.-led an invasion of Somalia in 1992. American forces withdrew in 1994.

Somaliland’s independence has not been recognized by any country or world body.
