Lauren Day, a corporate PR exec for Prudential Financial and AIG, has moved to AXA Equitable Life Insurance in New York, the insurance unit of AXA Financial, to head corporate communications.
Marcia Tierney, who was senior VP, corporate comms., is no longer with the company. The AXA division last year brought in its first SVP/chief marketing officer, E*Trade's Amy Radin, to whom Day reports.
Day was recently VP of comms. for Prudential in a 20-month stint. She previously handled strategic communications for AIG's global restructuring and earlier worked marketing and communications for its private equity real estate investment unit.
She started out as a legislative aide and press secretary in the Connecticut state assembly.
