Arthur YannArthur Yann, who headed PR at Public Relations Society of America, died of a heart attack on June 13. He was 48.  He leaves a wife, Amy, and three-year-old daughter, Sofia, behind.

PRSA president Bill Murray referred a request for comment to his June 16 blog post, where Yann is remembered for "his quick sense of humor, his powerful intellect and his passion for his work."

Yann helped PRSA set its "new vision for advocacy, which focused on ethics, the value of PR and diversity," according to Murray’s blog.

He took the PRSA post in August 2008. Earlier he ran his own firm, served as senior VP at HealthStar PR, senior VP at CKPR and partner at Nichol & Co.

Memorial details for Yann have not yet been worked out.
