Michael InackerMichael Inacker, assistant editor-in-chief for the German newspaper Handelsblatt, will move to PR this fall as VP of corporate communications and branding for the engineering and electronics giant Siemens, a major U.S. government contractor.
 
The 49-year-old Inacker, currently based in Berlin, will head external and internal communications under CEO Peter Loscher, starting Oct. 1, in a reorganization of its home country communications operation.
 
Company vet Stephan Heimback, who currently oversees corporate communications under his corporate affairs role, will lead corporate and government affairs with Inacker's appointment.
 
Siemens employs more than 360K people in 190 countries. Revenue for 2012 was 73.8B euro (nearly $96B).
 
Camille Johnston, an Obama administration alum and former communications executive for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Rodale, heads corporate affairs for Siemens in the U.S. She joined in 2010 as the company moved its U.S. headquarters from New York to Washington, D.C.
