The Department of Energy this week released an RFP to provide communications and PR for its office covering energy efficiency and renewable energy, a sweeping assignment that could stretch four years and bill in the eight-figure range.
 
The Energy Effiency & Renewable Energy office of the DOE encompasses sub-offices covering technologies focused on fuel cells, building materials, solar power and wind and water power, to name a few.
 
The assignment covers tasks like communications materials , public information, media and PR strategies, digital and research for the EE&RE's office of communications.
 
Total value of the contract over four years is estimated at $16M. A base one-year contract is expected to begin in late November 2013 and could stretch through November 2017 with three options.
 
The work will be based in Washington.
