Austin-based communications agency Crosswind Media & Public Relations has been named agency of record for the Center for Alternative Finance and Procurement within Texas state agency the Texas Facilities Commission.

The TFC, which is based in Austin, is responsible for managing the maintenance and construction of most state government-owned buildings and facilities, as well as handling lease management services and the sale of property for state agencies.

The TFC in 2015 established the Center for Alternative Finance and Procurement as a means of providing state agencies such as state universities and local governments guidance on agreements, proposals and negotiations within public–private partnership developments.

Crosswind is charged with providing brand identity and marketing services to CAP with in a bid to communicate the agency’s services and highlight its role in facilitating public-private partnerships. The contract is slated to run through 2017’s third quarter.

Crosswind, which maintains additional offices in Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Boston and New York, in 2015 accounted for nearly $2 million in net fees.
