Mark Pankowski has opened a Washington outpost for Florida’s Sachs Media Group.
He had been running Pankowski-Rooney-Hart PR, an issues/crisis shop in Bethesda.
The former reporter, news editor and business editor of the Tallahassee Democrat and Orlando Sentinel joined then-known Ron Sachs Communications as senior VP.
Pankowski worked on key accounts such as Florida League of Cities, Huizenga Holdings/Miami Dolphins, Florida Medical Assn. and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
Ron Sachs called Pankowski “a great friend who is renowned for effective crisis management and innovative media campaigns.”
In D.C., Pankowski will handle the National League of Cities.
Sachs has offices in Tallahassee and Orlando.
