Thompson & Bender has brought on Kerry Tropeano as marketing and communications director. Tropeano comes to Thompson & Bender from Saks Fifth Avenue, where she was divisional vice president, public relations, overseeing the development, planning and execution of PR and image-building strategies. Prior to joining Saks, she was director of North American public relations at Tiffany & Co. She has also managed business public relations at Major League Baseball and was director of marketing communications for Nielsen Media Research. At T&B, Tropeano will oversee communications strategies for the agency’s clients and serve as a liaison with its account teams.

The Philadelphia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America has elected John F. Kouten, CEO of JFK Communications, Inc., as their 2018 President. Kouten will oversee PRSA Philadelphia’s operations and committees as well as acting as a liaison between the chapter and the PRSA national and district organizations. He has been a PRSA member for more than 25 years, serving the New York and New Jersey PRSA chapters as well as in Philadelphia. Before coming to JFK, he served in executive PR positions at Sanofi, Johnson & Johnson and Bristol-Myers Squibb. “During my tenure as President I hope to help public relations professionals in the Philadelphia area recognize and utilize PRSA’s valuable professional development resources,” said Kouten.

Greenough Brand Storytellers has promoted Scott Bauman to general manager. Bauman oversees agency marketing, new business development and client satisfaction. Before joining Greenough in 2005, he served as director of PR at Avid Technology and was a VP at Weber Shandwick. “In working closely with Scott over the years, I’ve always been impressed by his ability to think strategically about growing our business while continuing to put clients first,” said Greenough CEO Phil Greenough.
