PRSA-NY is now accepting nominations for the 2018 PRSA-NY Big Apple Awards, to be handed out in June.
The awards recognize in-house corporate, government, and association communications teams, agencies of all sizes, and independent practitioners across the Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut).
Led by DS Simon Media CEO and PRSA-NY president-elect Doug Simon, the Big Apple Awards have expanded their scope this year, with new awards being presented in such categories as Diversity & Inclusion, Media Relations & Content Marketing and Reputation & Brand Management.
Six awards have been added for in-house communications, with Simon saying that “expanding PRSA-NY’s reach to the corporate communications community is a key priority.” In addition, a new President’s Award was created focusing specifically on diversity data.
Also new for 2018 are increased opportunities for winners to use the awards as a platform to grow their companies. Award winners will have a speaking platform within the awards program, and each winner will be recorded on video, with the content being made available through multiple social media channels.
Early Bird registration for the awards is open through Friday, Feb. 16 and all entries must be received by Friday, March 16. Finalists will be notified in early April.
For more information on registering for the awards, go to PRSA-NY’s online entry platform.
