Bon Ton

Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher reps Bon-Ton Stores, which filed for Chapter 11 in February, and says it's in “active discussions” with interested parties to acquire the Milwaukee-based department store chain as “a going concern.”

The owner of 250 stores under the Bon-Ton, Boston Store, Carson’s, Elder-Beerman, Herberg's, Younkers, and Bergner’s names posted a $135M net loss on $1.6B revenues during the nine-month period ended Oct. 27.

Bon-Ton, which has outlets in 23 northeast and midwest states, says there’s no assurances that the negotiations will result in any deal. The Chapter 11 filing requires the retailer to conduct an auction of its properties on April 9.

Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher’s Michael Freitag, Leigh Parrish and Tim Ragones represents Bon-Ton.
