brian wieserPivotal Research Group senior analyst Brian Wieser told Bloomberg Radio today that Interpublic Group will be sold.

Weiser, the former CMO of Simulmedia and director of forecasting at IPG's Magna Global, called IPG shares his top buy right now in an appearance on Bloomberg Radio. "Agency consolidation will happen," he said. "The market has basically responded as if beyond Omnicom Publicis … IPG will be sold."

Weiser called the Omnicom-Publicis merger the industry's most important single deal in decades "for not just agencies but media."

He said Dentsu "is probably the most likely to acquire it," although WPP or another company could step in.

Shares of Interpublic, parent of Weber Shandwick, GolinHarris and DeVries, among other PR units, are trading around $16.52, on the higher end of its $9.38-17.43 range for the past year.
