New York Times investigative reporter Raymond Hernandez is joining right-leaning PR/PA firm DCI Group in Washington.

Politico first reported that 47-year-old Hernandez will take a VP post in mid-October with the firm.

Hernandez started out at the Southbridge (Mass.) News before moving to the Dayton Daily News and, in the early 1990s, the Times.

Associated with Republican clients on the corporate and PA front, DCI has counseled foreign clients like Japan's Embassy, Myanmar and Azerbaijan.

Doug Goodyear is founding partner and CEO of the firm.
