Emily Easter, a young PR pro who penned a blog on her nearly four-year battle with breast cancer, died Sept. 27. She was 35.
Easter logged 10 years of travel and lifestyle PR experience, the last seven with Hawkins International PR, where she was a senior director in New York. Previous stints included MMGY and KWE Group.
Diagnosed in January 2010, Easter intermittenly chronicled her experiences on a personal blog dubbed "The Bright Side."
An entry dated Sept. 28 announced her passing "at our family home surrounded by family and friends."
A native of Hamilton, N.J., Easter graduated from Villanova Univ. Hawkins PR said she was an avid traveler whose trips spanned the globe, and was a voracious reader, expert knitter, music lover and sports fan.
