The regional planning organization for the six-county region of Southern California has kicked of a search for a firm to guide communications, media and outreach as it develops a 25-year transportation plan.
The Los Angeles-based Southern California Association of Governments released an RFP on Nov. 5 to guide PR during development of the Regional Transportation Plan and Sustainable Communities Strategy for 2016-2040.
Public outreach, workshops and public hearing support, presentations to various organizations and media services all centered on coordinating with stakeholders from myriad interest groups are covered in the scope of work. Federal and state regulations outline public and stakeholder engagement for such plans.
A contract is expected to stretch through 2016.
Proposals are due Dec. 4.
