Visa's Donovan Charges to E-Health Records Provider

Ryan Donovan, senior VP of communications for Visa Inc., has moved to San Francisco-based electronic medical records provider Practice Fusion in its top corporate communications post.
Donovan, who takes a VP role with the company, was with Visa for three years. He was previously senior director of corporate marketing at SanDisk and held various PR posts at Hewlett-Packard.
On the agency side, Donovan did stints at Ketchum, Text 100 and GolinHarris, among others.
Practice Fusion counts 100K monthly active medical professions with 80M patients as users. Doctors use the service free of charge, while revenue is derived from pharmacies and, labs and other service providers who pay to access the network of doctors and patients.
It raised $15M in December in a Series D extension round of funding led by Qualcomm, bringing its total Series D take to $85M.
