chuck e cheeseApollo Global Management is receiving PR support from Joele Frank, Wilkinson Brimmer Katcher in its $1.3B acquisition of CEC Entertainment, the owner of the Chuck E. Cheese chain.

The $54-per-share cash offer is a 25% premium on CEC shares as of Jan. 7 and follows a review of strategic alternatives by the CEC board, which is recommending the deal to shareholders.

Dan Katcher, founding partner at Joele Frank, and managing director Jonathan Keehner are handling press for Apollo.

Michelle Chism is director of corporate communications for publicly traded, Irving, Tex.-based CEC.

CEC owns and operates 522 of the 577 Chuck E. Cheese locations in the U.S. and abroad, with the others franchised. Third quarter revenue was essentially flat as it topped $195M, while net income fell 5% to $7.4M.
