The Palestinian Authority is mulling whether to hire an Israeli PR firm to highlight “the other Palestine,” according to a report today on Israel Radio.

The campaign would move beyond politics and focus on the PA’s culture, nightlife, parties and upscale restaurants in Ramallah to lure young Israelis to travel there.

Israel Radio said the “multimillion-dollar” push will be Internet-based, according to Haaretz.

It will feature a tour of Ramallah for Israeli celebrities, a meeting with president Mahmoud Abbas and a visit to Rawabi, a new planned community.

One obstacle: Israelis have been restricted from entering the PA since the 2000 start of the Second Intifada.
